Crazy Pizza, the festive SoHo spot that debuted in 2024, is landing in East Hampton this summer. The global brand — which has locations across Italy in as well as in Monte Carlo, London, Spain, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia — will land in June, bringing thin-crust pizza and over-the-top dining room dough-spinning antics to the East End.
The Crazy Pizza enterprise is owned by Flavio Briatore, a prolific Italian entrepreneur and former Formula One team boss. The SoHo outpost is in partnership with his ex, supermodel Heidi Klum. No word on whether Klum is involved in the expansion East yet, as Majestas and Altamarea Group, best known for their Manhattan spot, Marea, are backing the East Hampton location replacing the former Kizzy T’s burger joint.
The crust on these pizzas is famously thin, coated with fresh ingredients imported from Italy, cheese and toppings from prosciutto to prawns, mushrooms, peppers and eggplant. Prices run from $22 to $65 (for Italian truffles). There are also pastas like creamy cacio e pepe, tagliatelle Bolognese and a simple pomodoro alongside perennial favorites chicken Milanese and Parmigiana. Salads include Caesar, spinach and burrata, while apps like calamari round out the menu. Don't sleep on the Nutella pizza for dessert.

While the food is certainly good, it's the pizza theatrics that seem to be bringing the crowds back for more. Every now and again, the dining room breaks into ABBA’s "Gimme Gimme Gimme” and one of the pizzaiolos, or spinning chefs, emerge from the kitchen twirling a giant round of faux pizza above his head. The clapping commences, the sing-a-long begins and the pizza dough dances its way through the dining room, flying up toward the ceiling at regular measure to beats spun by the in-house DJ. Set against the backdrop of black-and-white photos of celebrities eating pizza, in a scarlet dining room full of banquettes and communal tables, it’s a fun, festive and pizza-drenched experience.
Stay tuned for updates about the East Hampton outpost as it gets closer to summer.
