Bicycles, clothing, jewelry, electronics, coins — even Lionel toy trains: The Suffolk County Police property auction offers a wide range of goods to bid on.
If you're at least 18 years old, have cash and are willing to buy items in "as is" condition, then the auction, to be held rain or shine in Yaphank on Wednesday, May 14, could be for you, Suffolk police say.
The auction begins at 9 a.m. at the police property section lot at 30 Yaphank Ave. A preview of many items will be available Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
According to the auction list on the official police website, there will be several lots of clothes from Armani Exchange.
These include jackets, men's jeans, sweatshirts and pants, and women's clothing. Assorted handbags — Coach, Michael Kors, Kate Spade — will be offered. Bidders can vie for sunglasses, as well: think Alexander McQueen, Ray Ban, Versace, Burberry, Dior, Ferragamo and Dolce & Gabbana.
Want to bid on Louis Vuitton sneakers? How about a Nixon watch or a Singer sewing machine?
There are also power tools from DeWalt and Milwaukee, Ryobi and Makita.
Bicycles featured in the auction include Trek, Huffy, Hyper, Schwinn, Shogun, Mongoose and others. There's even aquarium equipment.
More information on the auction, a detailed auction list and bidder requirements is available at suffolkpd.org.
