Lindsay Lohan's attorney is denying a report that the troubled star is heading to jail for violating terms of her probation.
The gossip site TMZ, in an unsourced story posted Friday morning, claimed that Lohan has been skipping court-ordered alcohol education classes in Los Angeles.
But Lohan's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said Friday, "Though there have been occasional weeks when Lindsay has missed her alcohol treatment class, she has always managed to make up the class the following week by attending two classes." Her statement appeared on various websites, including E! Online and Radar Online.
Lohan was given 3 years' probation in 2007 stemming from charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and cocaine. She was also ordered to attend an 18-month alcohol education program. But TMZ claims Lohan has been attending class only every 21 days - just before the school would be required to notify the court of her absence - despite a judge's order that she attend every seven days. Lohan's next progress hearing is May 20.
