'Glee: The Music Presents the Warblers,' will be released on April 19, 2011 and will feature 11 of the Warblers' popular covers including the Darren Crissled versions of Destiny's Child's 'Bills, Bills, Bills,' Train's 'Hey Soul Sister' and Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream,' which claimed the highest first-week sales for 'Glee.' Chris Colfer will also make an appearance with his version of 'Blackbird' by The Beatles. Credit: Handout

Unlike their "Glee" counterparts New Directions, who, due to the plot points of the TV show, can be hit and miss, Dalton Academy's Warblers never fail to entertain. Lead Warbler Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss) fills the tracks with an upbeat warmth that often surpasses the originals (Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream"), especially when aided by clever a cappella arrangements where the group sings everything from swirling synths to jangling guitars. It's no surprise the collection of their songs, "Glee: The Music Presents The Warblers" (Columbia), is so good it would succeed even without the show.
