Margarita’s Cafe has opened a fifth location, this time in Smithtown — the first in Suffolk County — in a spot that most recently hosted Asia Taste.
The 40-seat restaurant offers value with a $7.95 lunch special menu and a different nightly special from Monday night two for one, two dinners for $20 on Wednesdays and an extended Friday happy hour.
Look for nachos, taquitos de pollo, tamales, fried plantains and various quesadillas for $3.95 to $19.95 among appetizers. Find the Tijuana wrap for $12.95 among entrees, with Romaine lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, queso and Ranch dressing topped with guacamole in a flour tortilla.
Entrees also include pork loin tacos in adobo for $15.95. El Rey burritos are stuffed with chicken, chorizo, mushrooms and beans, topped with chipotle and queso blanco.
Willie Martinez is the owner of the chainlet that started in East Meadow in 2009. In June, Martinez opened The Cuban in Garden City along with Greg Garofalo of Lobster Shack in Seaford.
Margarita’s Cafe is open from 11:30 to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and until midnight Friday and Saturday. 581-583 Smithtown Bypass, Smithtown, 631-257-5999, margaritascafe.com
