A Uniondale man who police say stole three cars after breaking into the owners’ homes and swiping the keys has been arrested, Nassau County authorities said Saturday.
The first theft happened on June 8 when Jordan Jackson, 20, entered a home on Richmond Road in East Meadow, took the keys for a 2006 Audi A4 and drove away, Nassau police said.
Jackson entered a residence on Fenimore Place in Baldwin on June 11 and grabbed keys for a 2004 Honda Pilot, which he used to drive away in the car, police said in a news release.
On Friday, Jackson struck again, this time entering a home on Clinton Avenue in Uniondale and making off with a 2008 Nissan Versa, police said.
Investigators spotted Jackson in the Nissan on West Roosevelt Avenue in Uniondale with another man, Tayawon Anderson, 19, police said.
Jackson was charged with three counts of burglary in the second degree, grand larceny in the third degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, police said.
Anderson was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree and petit larceny for an unrelated open warrant.
Both will be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
