A motorcycle passenger from Cedarhurst died Monday after the biker lost control on the Rockaway Beach boardwalk, crashed the bike — ejecting the passenger — then fled the scene on foot, according to the NYPD.

The passenger, 26-year-old David Molina, was pronounced dead at the scene by an emergency medic, the NYPD said in an email. No one has been arrested. The biker was a 25-year-old man, according to what the email said was the department’s preliminary investigation. The email didn’t say how the police drew this conclusion.

The crash happened before 3:04 p.m. near Beach 47th Street and the boardwalk when the motorcyclist, heading west, lost control, struck a bench and then a male pedestrian.

“The operator of the motorcycle fled the location on foot in an unknown direction,” the police email said.

The pedestrian, age 55, was brought to Jamaica Hospital with minor head injuries. His name wasn't disclosed.

Molina's family couldn't be immediately reached for comment.

New York City law bans motor vehicles from being operated on boardwalks.
