It was a car made famous by "Fast & Furious" and "2 Fast 2 Furious," and by a host of video games -- Gran Turismo and Need for Speed, to name two.

Now Suffolk County police are asking the public's help in attempting to identify and locate whoever stole a silver Nissan Skyline GT-R last month from a garage on Esplanade Drive in East Patchogue. This Skyline is a show car, featured in magazines, and is a rare right-hand drive model with an estimated value of at least $80,000, police said.

Police said the Skyline was taken sometime between 9:30 p.m. on June 17 and 1:30 a.m. on June 18. They're asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.

All calls will remain confidential. Callers are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to an arrest in the case.
