Suffolk police arrested an East Northport man Tuesday morning on charges he sexually abused a woman outside of a 7-Eleven convenience store.

Police said at around 2 a.m. Juan Buesoramos, 25, followed the 48-year-old woman as she was leaving the store at 223 Laurel Rd. in East Northport. Once outside, he grabbed her and pushed her toward the back of the building, attempting to kiss her and exposing himself, police said.

The woman was able to break free and alerted the store clerk about the attack.

Second Precinct detectives and K-9 officers set up a perimeter around the store, but did not locate the suspect until 7:25 a.m., when Officer Frank Muoio, who was patrolling the area spotted a man matching the description of the alleged attacker. Buesoramos lives at nearby 222 Laurel Rd., and was arrested and taken to the Second Precinct.

Buesoramos was charged with sexual abuse first degree, and criminal possession of a forged instrument second degree, after he presented a counterfeit U.S. resident alien card to officers while he was being interviewed, police said.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in First District Court in Central Islip.
