Man dies after driving to Center Moriches 7-Eleven with gunshot wound in leg, cops say

Suffolk police said they are investigating the death of a man who was found shot in the leg in Center Moriches early Sunday.
Police received a call at about 2:40 a.m. reporting a man with a gunshot wound to his leg in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven convenience store located at 632 Main St.
Detectives said the man drove his vehicle to the store. He was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead.
The man’s identity has not been released, pending notification of his family. Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 800-220-TIPS.
