A Sayville man was arrested Thursday near his apartment shortly after he robbed a bank, Suffolk police said.
Daniel Suker, 43, handed a note demanding cash to a teller at a TD Bank branch on Main Street about 5:20 p.m., then took off with money, police said.
But investigators were able to get a good description of his vehicle, a Honda Civic, and it was found near Suker’s Lakeland Avenue home, said Det. Sgt. Anthony LaVista of the pattern crime unit at police headquarters.
Suker was arrested nearby and had the stolen cash on him, police said. The amount of money was not disclosed.
He was charged with third-degree robbery and held overnight at the Fifth Precinct for arraignment Friday.
