Undertaker beats CM Punk at WrestleMania 29, extends streak to 21-0

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- CM Punk didn’t need to beat the Undertaker to have his “WrestleMania moment.”

That happened when he flew onto an announce table that didn’t break.

With that, Punk had the respect of the fans.

But the Undertaker still has "The Streak," improving to 21-0 at WrestleMania after finally finishing off Punk with a second tombstone piledriver.

Punk's offensive assault amounted to a “Macho Man” Randy Savage tribute, hitting both a double axe handle from the top rope onto the floor, and later an elbow from the top that landed on Undertaker in the middle of the ring, earning a two-count.

But Undertaker, wearing tights with “Rest in Peace PB” to remember the real-life passing of former manager Paul Bearer (real-name William Moody), wouldn't go away that easily. He caught Undertaker off the ropes with a chokeslam, getting a two-count of his own.

The fight went outside, and Undertaker tried to end it with a “Last Ride” powerbomb onto the announce table. But Punk slid off Undertaker and connected with a roundhouse kick that left Undertaker sprawled on top of the table. Punk then climbed to the top rope and flew onto Undertaker, creating a sick thud when the table didn't collapse.

Undertaker barely beat the 10 count to get back in the ring. Soon, he was caught in Punk's finishing "Go to Sleep" knee drop off a fireman's carry. But instead of going to the mat, Undertaker flew into the ropes, came back at Punk and countered with a first tombstone. 

Punk kicked out, and as the pair continued to fight, the referee eventually got nailed, allowing Paul Heyman to get Undertaker's urn to Punk. Punk nailed Undertaker, and the referee recovered to count, but only got a two-count.

That was Punk's last hope. He wouldn't survive a second tombstone, allowing Undertaker to celebrate in the ring by honoring Paul Bearer.
