Lindsay Lohan was released from her 30-day jail sentence Monday after serving fewer than five hours, due to systemic overcrowding -- and announced she is appearing nude in Playboy next month.

"Lindsay has completed a successful photo shoot for Playboy magazine and will be on the cover of the [combined] January/February issue, which hits newsstands in late December," her spokesman, Steve Honig, told Newsday. He confirmed she will appear in a nude pictorial, which he said would be "very tasteful, and will be accompanied by an interview that will let readers see another side of Lindsay."

Lohan, originally of Merrick and Cold Spring Harbor, was sentenced Wednesday for violating probation on her 2007 DUI and related convictions, after she missed several community-service dates. She entered the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif., at 8:48 p.m. Sunday and was booked at 8:50, NBC's "Access Hollywood" reported. By 1:40 a.m., she had left in a black Cadillac Escalade sport utility vehicle for her home in nearby Venice, Calif., The Associated Press reported.

Through the scheduled end of her sentence on March 29, the "Mean Girls" star must perform 12 days of community service a month at the Los Angeles County morgue and attend four 45-minute psychological-counseling sessions monthly.
