While it's safe to say Lindsay Lohan is not the highest-paid actress in Hollywood, it is still a bit surprising that she was reportedly paid only $100 per day to star in the upcoming flick, "The Canyons."
The campy thriller, directed by Paul Schrader ("Taxi Driver," "American Gigolo"), is rife with graphic sex scenes -- including a steamy four-way with Lohan, porn star James Deen and two other adult film actors.
According to a New York Times Magazine exposé written by Stephen Rodrick and published online Thursday, the sex scenes in the film were a non-negotiable item in Lohan's contract, giving the actress zero say during filming despite her relatively low pay.
Rodrick's piece, "Here Is What Happens When You Cast Lindsay Lohan in Your Movie," began as an article about production on "The Canyons" but (shockingly) ended up focusing on Lohan's bad behavior during filming. She was even fired once, then rehired after throwing a 90-minute temper tantrum outside the director's hotel room, according to the story.
