BACKGROUND
- Graf, 66, of Holbrook, is running on the Democratic, Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election.
- He was elected a Suffolk County Family Court judge in 2021. He was elected a Suffolk County District Court judge and served from 2017 to 2021.
- Graf was a member of the New York State Assembly in the 5th District from 2011 to 2017. He had a private law practice from 2009 to 2017 and worked for the Legal Aid Society from 2007 to 2009.
- Graf was a two-term supervisor in the upstate town of Brighton from 1991 to 1995, and a police officer with the NYPD from 1980 to 1989.
- He enlisted in the Navy in 1976 and rose to the rank of operations specialist third class petty officer. He received an honorable discharge in 1980.
- He received a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Plattsburgh in 1998 and a law degree from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, in 2002. Graf was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2007.
