BACKGROUND

  • Crecca, 60, of Hauppauge, is running on the Republican, Democratic and Conservative party lines.
  • He was appointed district administrative judge for the 10th Judicial District in 2020. He was the supervising judge for matrimonial matters from 2013 to 2020.
  • Crecca was elected a County Court judge in 2004 and a Supreme Court justice in 2010.
  • From 1999 to 2004, he was elected Suffolk County legislator for the12th District.
  • From 1989 to 1994, Crecca was a New York assistant district attorney in Manhattan and was in private practice from 1994 to 2004.
  • He received his undergraduate degree from Marist College in upstate Poughkeepsie in 1986 and earned his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law in 1989. Crecca was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1989 and the Eastern District in 1998.
